This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Doctor's visit pictures

. . . from the babies' 4-month-old well-baby check-up. They're less than 6 weeks adjusted age, but were born more than 4 months ago; amazing! He's always been faithful. I want to watch the slideshow again (posted back in mid-October). They've come so far in just these past two months!

Grace was 1 lb 12 oz at birth. She's now 7 lb 15 oz with a lovely layer of soft fat over her whole body! She's off the cannula up to 8 hours a day now! Marcie is 8 lb 11 oz, Seth is over 9 lb 8 oz (that was 4 days ago), David is 10 lb 1 oz and Will is 11 lb 10 oz - that's 9 pounds heavier than he was at birth as our largest preemie! God is GOOD!

The babies think it's exhausting to visit the doctor! Ready to head home now. Left to right: Grace, Marcie, Will, David.

Someone with twin girls gave us matching girl carseats and someone with triplet boys gave us matching boy carseats. They are all virtually unused and the same make and model so are interchangeable in the 5 bases (which, for those of you who don't know, remain in the car, secured by a latch system or seat belt. The baby seats just snap in).
How cool that God is obviously in the details of our lives! :)

All loaded up, heading home. It was wonderful to have a lovely helper along with all four babies.

  3. Thank You, Lord - what awesome little blessings. And, thank You, for working out all the little details. We have no doubt that You are in control, Lord, and just praise You for that special individual love that You have for each of us. Please continue to hold these precious little ones in Your healing hands, and bring them all to full strength and wholeness. Thank You for keeping Carrie, Gavin and Isaac close and safe, and give them the peace and strength to travel this road, and all the helpers needed for the journey. All praise and honor to You. Amen. 4. This is a great article and I am so glad I came across it. My family and I just moved to Dallas and we have been looking for a doctor for my son. It was a very long process and we did a lot of research to find a doctor in Dallas that was accessible and affordable. Thankfully we came across Dr. Gary Berlin of Carmel Care. He provides some great services like home visits. He can give a full examination right from your home. I have to agree that home visits are so helpful especially when you do not have transportation sometimes. He also is very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Dr. Berlin and his practicing methods.
