This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

It's 1 a.m. and all is well

. . . I think/hope/pray! Will FINALLY fell asleep! He's joined David in the nightly fussiness-and-awake-for-hours round and has even surpassed his brother's record (somewhere around 11 p.m. being usual).

I had a WONDERFUL day at my sister's graduation and family celebration following! Thanks for making it possible, Caren, Wendy & Co., Karen and Lynn!! Your gracious gift of your time and hard work allowed me to have a sense of humor and the refreshment I needed to deal with the baby boys tonight. :)

Seth needed to go back to 4.0 liters per minute flow rate on his Vapotherm. Bummer. Thanks for continuing to pray for him. He's doing so much better than we had been told he probably would at this point, so we remain very encouraged, but he still needs lots of healing.

I will have to post bathtub pictures of the at-home quints/quads and a photo of David smiling tomorrow, assuming I remember to do so. I can't locate them right now. Weird.

Time for bed!!!

Love,
Carrie

  1. Have you tried the chiropracter for the babies? That helps tremendously with colic! We had a very fussy little boy which changed after that.

Will keep praying for you and the babies.

It's a blessing being with you in your home, and to help care for your precious babies! I am so sorry that they greeted you with their "shout outs" until the wee hours of the a.m.- but glad you had a wonderful day with your sister!! xxxx Caren
