This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

Link to news story

Tonight's CBS news clip on the quintuplets can be found here: Duncanville Family Prepares For A Quints Christmas « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth.  We feel they did a good job overall.  It's amazing how little of a several minute long interview actually gets into a story.  The only small mistake in the story is that when they are naming off the babies quickly with their corresponding pictures, Marcie and Grace are switched.  Just to keep you guessing . . . .  You can see the video below, but the link takes you to the text with a little additional information as well as another picture.

  2. What a lovely interview! You both look great for being as sleep deprived as you must be. The babies are so adorable, too. It was nice seeing some video of Seth. I keep praying for you all.

    1. Thanks to The Do Cut and Color here in Dallas! A friend set up a free visit for me - it was amazing! I was so pampered and then hardly recognized myself in the mirror. Funny, because normally I don't have makeup on around the house and am rarely out of my PJs before 1 pm. :}

  4. Always a special part of my morning to see new pics of the Quints! Gavin looks like he is pretty well recovered from his illness. Carrie, you look well rested and beautiful! The babies all look wonderful....especially Seth! Many blessings to you all this Christmas season! It's nice to think about how amazing these little 5 bundles of joy's birth was during the birth of an amazing man, our Father! I hope Isaac and all of you have a very Merry Christmas!

  5. the interview was great. It was great to get a look of their room with the board and cupboard which looks well stocked. IT helped to hear the Dr explain Seths situation. So glad that you were able to be pampered. The stockings by the Chimney are so cute. They're all ready for Santa.

  6. Oh, what fun to see you all in motion and hear your voices! It has been such a privilege to pray for your family this year, and to "get to know" the babies through the blog. Even if you hadn't mentioned that they named Grace and Marcie wrong, I would have known it from seeing their sweet little faces here! I'm thankful that God led me here to be one of your prayer supporters (if I haven't mentioned before, I am a friend of Mandy Pehrson and found your blog through her on FB), and I look forward to praying for you all in the new year as well. Merry Christmas to your big, beautiful crew! - Kristin
