This is the blog for Gavin and Carrie Jones and family. We live in Papua New Guinea and are working to see lives transformed by the living Word of God through Bible translation. Gavin is a helicopter pilot. Carrie, who has her degree in Public Health, works in the lab at our busy rural clinic. Our son, Isaac, was born in 2004 and our quintuplets, Will, David, Marcie, Seth, and Grace, were born in 2012.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. The you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:3-6

On the way to the airport!

We are about halfway there. The kids were desperate to go "bye-bye" but obviously have no idea how long this bye-bye will be. They are really sensing the turmoil, so it was a relief to leave the house. Please pray for those we leave behind and for us (all 12 of us, including our travel helpers) as we go, for safety, health, peace and joy, and of course for Seth to continue thriving.

We love you. Thanks for praying and helping us to this day.

Carrie for us all

Psalm 61:2
From the ends of the earth will I cry out to you, when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

  3. Praying God's protection and mercy for the long trip and His ministry for you in New Guinea! It has been such a joy to keep up with your dear family and see the ways God has used your testimony bringing Him glory. You will be in my prayers for the years ahead. Our son is a missionary in Kenya so this mother's heart will be praying for all 8 of you. Love from Houston, Marty

  5. Thank you for blessing us by making it to Faith Bible Church this a.m. When Seth saw yours truly, he put out his arms to hold him: a treasured birthday gift (thank you Lord). What a sight it would be if we could all see the angels escorting you all the way :). You are all in His Mighty Hands. Blessings and prayers,
